Bodytonic

Bodytonic was created back in 2002 in Ireland by a guy who more or less wanted it done correctly! Weather it was the music you hear on a night out, or the crowd standing next to you. BT wanted something fresh, something different. "If you want it done right, do it yourself" .. This was the attitude they applied from day 1 and this has so far been working an absolute treat for the guys at BT.
Now with two clubs/pubs under their belts, I'm sure the lads will be delighted with the progress they have been making, not only the club scene, but also in the way in which their highly sought after Bodytonic Podcasts have been going. With podcast from international DJ's such as:

  • Marcel Dettmann
  • Luciano
  • DJ Yoda
  • Fish Go Deep
  • Olver $
  • Tadeo
  • Ben Klock
  • Mr. Scruff
To name but a few...

Most of these DJ's also had an interview with BT, and have actually graced the decks @ the now legendary Twisted Pepper

Everything but the Girl

"It was written with that idea in mind, totally... we put on sort of a laid back house groove instead. Then when we gave it to Todd (Terry), he took it in a really, really strong New York house direction, which had a real simplicity to it, but it was very infectious." words of lead singer Tracey Thorn on the song Missing and its relese as a remix which gained its popular status.

Everything but the Girl - Missing

Rich Girls - a song by the American outfit, The Virgins. Rich Girls reached #68 on Rolling Stones top 100 songs of '08.. Nice indie tune

The Vigins - Rich Girls

Next, a synthpop song, influenced by hip hop music. The lyrics focus on class, and inner-city pressure, and were inspired by T.S. Elliot's poem The Waste Land. It was generally well received by contemporary music critics and has been frequently cited as a highlight in the duo's career. Don't know why or how i got to liking this tune, i heard them perform it on the BRIT awards and it was a tune!.. Light hearted synthpop, chilled out..

Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls

A tune I made, its a chillout track with an orbital, leftfield kind of feel to it..

Tom Hinds - The Girl

One for our Baz..
